Pumpkin days! We took the boys to a pumpkin patch in Riverton. They got to pick out their own pumpkins. Landen and Preston ran non-stop from one end of this enormous farm to the other. It was a great backdrop for some fun photos. Tanner found one that will look really cool carved up to look like a skeleton's head. Gavin went for sheer size and Landen and Preston chose 50 different pumpkins....one pumpkin at a time. It took a while, but they finally narrowed it down to one pumpkin each. We even snuck in a rare family photo! I just can't believe how big they are getting!
Tanner showing his "golden ticket" to gold belt stardom! He worked really hard for this and he is very proud of his bright new color! We look forward to many more colors from Tanner!
Tanner getting his gold belt. He loves karate and is quite good. He takes it very seriously and is moving right along with his skills! Go Tan Tan!!
Tanner and cousin Rhiannon putting a fly on the line....would this be the "big one"....alas, no. The fish were not biting this day. They were successful the day before and went home with some yummy fish and some fabulous fish stories!
Gavin fishing at Mirror Lake. He had a good time, but didn't catch much. It was August, but pretty cold up there already. Uncle John gave Gavin his fishing rod when he turned 9 years old and they go fishing every year.
Fishing in the high Uintah's with Dad and Uncle John. The annual fishing trip is something the boys look forward to every year. This is the first year that Landen and Preston got to go along. They loved being out on the canoe.
Hey!
It has been fun to see all of your comments on my blog.....I hate to admit this, but this could actually be fun! I have to figure out how to download more pictures...this is not so easy if you are me, just ask Bubba. She had to figure out what the heck I did when I set up my blog and then had it stuck somewhere in cyber-space. I guess all is well that ends well....right? I hope to get better at this and Gavin hopes I get a better picture of him on the blog....he says he looks drunk....whatever. Well, to all of those fellow-bloggers out there....cheers!
So, for all of those out there who thought I would never set up a blog........Ha! It has been created. Granted, it isn't great, but at least I am "on-line". My kids complained of their pictures and the fact that some of them are not cropped correctly....whatever. I am just shocked and amazed that I completed this. Especially, since our wi-fi is all messed up and has kicked me off the site like 4x. Yes, I have had to recreate this dang page more times than I would like to remember. For all of you who told me I had to get this done....you had better post on my site to spur me to continue this crazy thing!
Karate Kid
This was Tanner's evaluation for his gold belt. He did a great job and loves this sport!
What a face!
Gil decided to put in a water feature in our yard this summer. Preston LOVED playing in the huge pile of dirt that arrived at our house. He was so dirty that I had to get it on film.
First Tooth
Before and after picture of Landen and the loss of his first tooth. He was very brave, eventhough it required more of a tug than we initially thought.
Summer Hail Storm
We were working out in the yard (I guess I should be honest and say Gil was working out in the yard!) and the rain and hail came down in buckets. The kids had fun running out and grabbing big pieces of ice. This picture shows one that Tanner picked up. Crazy, eh?
Rub-a-dub-dub
Preston and Landen love to bathe in the "cacuzzi". They get the bubbles really going with the jets. Whatever.....as long as they get clean!
Swimming
Pictures of the boys in their swimming lessons. We have had the same great teacher for 10 years. No, it hasn't taken them 10 years to learn to swim! She started with Gavin when he was 3 and they continued in her strokes class for exercise. They have a great time!
